The group has covered poets from Homer to Pam Ayers and everything in between including poetry from around the world. Recent poets have included: Andrew Motion, Maya Angelou, Wendy Cope, Sylvia Plath, John Betcheman, Ted Hughes and Cecil Day Lewis

The poetry group meets at Jan's house once a month. For most sessions, a particular Poet is chosen in advance and members each bring different poems to read and discuss.

Due to meeting in a home, the current group is full. But assistance is available for anyone wanting to start a second Poetry Appreciation group.
