Geoff Hamilton (of Gardener's World fame) was the creator of Barnsdale Gardens which he purchased in 1983. The gardens are now owned by his son, Nick Hamilton. Nick took over the running of the gardens after his father's death in 1996. Barnsdale is now an 8-acre "Theme Park for Gardeners" featuring 38 individually designed organic gardens. The site offers diverse garden styles for inspiration, including cottage, woodland, and vegetable gardens, alongside a plant nursery with locally sourced plants and (of course) a tea room. We will have a 2-hour guided tour with Jon Brocklebank who is the Head Gardener. Both Morning Coffee and Lunch are included in the price.
